Remote Learning

Resources

  • Google Classroom - Students can access their assignments via google classroom  (classroom.google.com). Each student has been assigned an email address and password which was provided to them at the beginning of the school year. They can use this login information to access their class on the google classroom platform.  If you have any difficulty accessing your child's account please reach out to their classroom teacher directly.

  • Class Dojo - Teachers have also created a Class Dojo for each class which parents have been invited to via a link sent to their phone or email for communication.

  • Remind App - If you are not already enrolled please sign up for the Remind text app which will be used to send out important information and updates.  You can signup by emailing your Student's Name, Grade and Your Phone Number to Parent Coordinator Ms. Garcia at sgarcia28@schools.nyc.gov

  • Internet - If you do not have internet/wifi in your home Charter will offer free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription and at any service level up to 100 Mbps. To enroll call 1-844-488-8395. Installation fees will be waived for new student households.

  • Regional Enrichment Centers - In order to successfully fight COVID-19, our first responders, health care providers, transit workers, and other key personnel must be able to come to work. That is why we have created Regional Enrichment Centers—places where the children of these front-line workers can be safely cared for while their parents continue to serve the city in this time of need.  Staffed by DOE employees and community-based organization partners, the centers will provide children with three daily hot meals, remote learning time with their teachers, activities like art, music, and physical education, and social and emotional support.  Beginning Monday, March 23, Regional Enrichment Centers are opening across every borough, with at least two sites in every school district.

  • Remote Learning Devices - To help students stay connected during emergencies, the DOE is lending internet-enabled iPads to support remote learning for students. If you would like to request a device for a NYC student in your family, please fill out the form. DOE will use the contact information you provide to get in touch with you to discuss when and where you can pick up a device. Priority will be given to students most in need, and all devices are granted on a temporary basis and will later need to be returned. There is a limit of one device per student.

  • Food Bank NYC - Food Bank is committed to ensuring New Yorkers in need continue to have access to meals during times of crisis. As part of our proactive response, we have continuity and prevention measures in place to help keep our operations up and running. We are following guidance from the CDC and local health officials to ensure best practices for the safety of our staff and volunteers, while continuing to serve the needs of New Yorkers in need.  You can access their website to find your local soup kitchen or food pantry.

  • NYC Food Delivery Assistance -The City of New York is providing assistance to New Yorkers during the COVID-19 crisis by delivering meals to those who cannot access food themselves.
